One day tickets are available for $16 USD, while two day tickets are available for $28 USD. The bus starts running at 9a until 7p. What is nice about these buses it that they allow you to get off and on as many times as you like. This is nice especially if you aren t exactly sure where you need to go.
Tickets can be purchased online, but you can also purchase them at Placa de Catalunya or you can purchase them on the bus.
Walking Tours
Walking tours can be nice, especially when you like to walk through the streets of Barcelona and get a genuine feel for the people who inhabit this country. There are so many different things you can experience when you walk. You can smell the cuisine being cooked by nearby restaurants; you can see many quaint little shops that you may have missed if you were in a car or bus.
Walking also gives you a chance to experience the fresh air and puts you in a more relaxed state which allows you to be able take it all in at your own pace.
There are actual walking tours available for those who enjoy walking and want to experience Barcelona at a slow steady pace. The Barcelona Tourists Office has walking tours at the Gothic Quarter during the weekend for a cost of $15 USD.
If you are fan of Spanish cuisine, they also have a tasting tour called Ruta Gourmet for a cost of $20 USD.
They even have tours for cooking lessons. The Aula Gastronomica de Mercat de la Boqueria is to name one. The only catch is you have to be fluent in Spanish. This tour offers a market breakfast, cooking classes as well as tastings.
Boat Tours
If being out on the water is more your cup of tea, they also have boating tours. Travel amongst the Mediterranean Sea at the Golondrina harbor. This boat tour travels from Portal de la Pau, near the infamous Columbus Monument around the harbor.
The cost of this boat ride is $7 USD, which is 40 minutes. There is another boat ride that lasts 90 minutes and is $16 USD. What is interesting about this particular boat tour is that you get to ride in a catamaran that has a glass bottom. This feature allows you to see the beautiful deep Mediterranean Sea and all the sea life within it.
